Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation about raw foods on the internet. Additionally, some of the concepts about raw food are based on outdated theories, strange ideas, and pseudo-mysticism. From 2010 to 2015, Nutrition Coach founder Thom Quinn began a systematic review of over 40 popular raw food books and over 500 scientific papers in order to align the current body-of-knowledge about physiology, biochemistry, and human nutrition with the best practices of raw foodists worldwide. The outcome of that project is the Raw Diet, a 21st century update of earlier raw food wisdom.
The Raw Diet provides all the necessary macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, and fats), the micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), fiber, and phytonutrients which are required for optimum health.
